Our month of October, began with rest and relaxation in paradise, on the palm tree and glacis boulder lined, white sand beaches of Seychelles. We drank coconuts on the beach, dove and snorkeled with spotted eagle rays, white tip sharks and colorful fish in pristine topaz waters, explored the islands by bicycle and fed giant Aldabra tortoises. We left the tropical islands for the Arabian Peninsula’s deserts of Oman and the United Emirates. We explored sand fortresses, admired the stunning architecture of the Muslim grand mosques, and reveled in the dramatic infrastructural changes in the Emirates wealthy cities. October was filled with tropical lush and desert dune landscapes, spending quality time with good friends, and seeing the way some of the poorest and some of the richest people live their lives.
